It just keeps getting better folks,
Bad news is my collector car insurance on Solar Flare doesnt cover hit and runs if the assailant isnt found. The plates of the car didn't match up to the paint that transfered onto her fender. I gotta pay out of pocket on this one!
After searching and shoping for a donner Lincoln (between 75-79) I found that the cheap donners under a 1000 bucks were too shitty and ones with sright bodies, but not running were to pricey.
I gave my self a budget of 2000 big ones and went looking for classic car auto body shops to fix her. (I can pull a dent and paint, but this is way over my head.) The guys over at Llody's Classic Auto Body hooked me up with a great deal. I use to deliver parts to them when I worked for O'Reillys. And they loved me! (who wouldn't? Am I right?) So just under 1100 bucks I get a new fender, trim, and the paint matched. It is still a lot of money and I honestly thought it was gonna be more. Im so glad they were able to help me out.
Shitty thing is, its gonna take 3 WEEKS for the new fender to arrive. Then maybe another week till she'll be all done.
Everytime I walk up to Solar Flare I see her flashy gold paint sparkle and glisten in the sunlight. Flare swells me up with such joy and pride!
...But then I walk to the driver side and she that crushing blow in her beautiful body. Feelings of dread and despair take place. The gash in her side can be felt in my heart. I gotta see that blow on her everytime I go to drive, and i gotta live with that hell for another month!
I've been saving and planning to move out of California. This incident put a major damper on the move.
Despite all this bullshit I love my car (None creepy way) and I'll do anything to make her look better again.
A special thanks to everyone who left comments on the original post. You guys mean a lot to me and I'm sorry for the art and content hiatus. Once I got my own place I cant start getting back in a routine that also involes my art.
